We are Take Something Back. We write music because we love it. We write music because we need it.
If you love music written with a lot of heart. If you love getting lost in music. If you've ever felt like you're missing something. Maybe it's a dull feeling of something achy in the back of your mind. Or maybe you lost something. We know what it's like. We've lost things in life, parts of ourselves. But with this music we take some of it back.
We decided to take something back.
Music is the answer.
Absolutely! And what is the question? Well, that's the thing, music can be what you want it to be, what you need it to be. It waits for you to choose it and it never argues, shames or judges you. It lets you love it and leave the rest without indignation or braggery. Something we should be forever thankful for because, no matter how much we try, we cannot control what we like. We cannot control what moves us. And nothing moves us like music does.
When I write a song I use words that i like, I put them in an order that I like and still I don't know if I like it until I hear the finished song. And what a feeling it is. To listen to something that I wrote, something I put into the world that would never have been there otherwise.
